CaliDivers.org is Proud to Announce the 2006 Photo Competition
August 16, 2006, San Francisco, California - CaliDivers.org, the non-profit, internet-based Northern California Scuba Diver Networking and Dive Trip organization, is proud to announce the 2006 Underwater Photo Competition. The grand prize winner’s underwater photograph will grace the CaliDivers.org’s future membership card for an indefinite period of time and the winner will also receive a two-year free CaliDivers.org membership. Deadline for entries is October 30th, 2006.
In 2004, scuba instructor and CaliDivers.org founder, Mauri Munoz, realized there was a need to create an internet-based, social and recreational scuba club for divers to come together to regularly dive the beautiful Monterey, California waters. CaliDivers.org has grown to over 150 dive enthusiast members through-out California, as well as around the world, that receive year-round email notices about upcoming Monterey and other California, national and exotic international diving excursions, as well as other timely scuba diving news and information.
CALIDIVERS.ORG PHOTO CONTEST RULES AND AWARDS
Contest Rules:
. The contest is open to all skill levels.
. Subject matter can be scenic, sealife, creatures, divers, etc., although special consideration will be given to underwater California-specific subject matter.
. All pictures submitted must be digital format (scanned film or slide images are welcomed), and must be SCUBA diving related in order to be considered.
. Photos may have been taken at any time, not just during the competition period.
. All pictures shall be in a landscape format with a cropped picture size of 1-7/8 inch x 3-1/8 inch.
. Minimum resolution of 200 dpi.
. Maximum of three entries per person.
. Maximum email size is 3MB per image.
. By submitting an image, you acknowledge that you have full rights for use of the image and give permission to CaliDivers.org to use the image for all future promotional purposes.
. Deadline for entries is October 30th 2006

Grand Prizewinner Receives:
1. Two-year free membership to CaliDivers.org.
2. Your name, email address and website link posted on the CaliDivers.org website, as well as in the CaliDivers.org monthly Journal and weekly email update.
3. The knowledge your photo will be close to the posteriors of 150 CaliDivers.org members.
4. Free lunch in Monterey on the CaliDivers.org tab. (Travel and accommodations not included).
Two honorable mentions will also be awarded and recipients will receive a 50% credit toward an annual CaliDivers.org membership.
