The well known and regarded Brooks Institute has announced plans to close its doors on October 31st of this year. The Ventura, California based school was one of the few places that offered higher education in the field of underwater photography.

In 2015 the school was purchased by Green Planet. The school had been suffering from declining enrollment and the new ownership recently dismissed the sitting president, Edward Clift.
