Adobe’s new Lightroom 3 beta may support video

Posted by Eric Cheng on 2010-03-23 02:10:37 Good news, it does support the video files for downloading and sorting, etc. The 20 min demo that was on Adobe TV showed that if you double click on the video thumbnail in the Library, LR opens the video up in the video viewer of your choice. They demo'd opening it up in Premeire Pro. Lots of other changes too. I wonder why they pulled it back?
Posted by Steve Williams on 2010-03-22 23:58:04 Finally! Digital cameras have had the capability to make videos for the the past 10 years. Lightroom won't even download the files off the the media card, which made Lightroom pretty useless for me as a file importer. If Lightroom 3 actually does something with the video files, that would be nice. Maybe they will play in the slideshow. I can hardly wait to read to the 1 page booklet that they'll include with the program, explaining how to use all the new features in Lightroom 3.
