2007 Our World Underwater Winners Announced

The film festival at Our World Underwater is an amazing event that demonstrates the vision and diversity of some truly talented film makers and photographers. Among the presenters last night were Emeroy Kristof, Stan Waterman, John Chatterton and Richie Kohler, Jim and Pat Strayer and Michele and Danielle Gilbert.

Posted by Claude on 2007-02-14 16:37:23 Claude: I know a magician never reveals his secrets, but I have to ask.... - How many shots did you stitch together? - Did you keep the tripod stationary and fix the perspective issues in PS? Or did you move along the wreck, replacing the tripod every few meters? Great work Stefan

Maybe a quick read of my profile will show you that I list neither wreck diving or tech diving as my interests...It just seemed strange that a couple of characters with proven track records for embellishing the truth would be considered as evening 'highlights'.

All the winning photos that Jason was displaying were phenomenal and I hope they get posted soon for all those who weren't in Chicago. Being a wreck diver, I was especially drawn to the stitched submarine photo. I can't even imagine the amount of work it took. The "artistic" winners were......interesting. Although maybe we need to rethink the ethics guidelines to include the safety of scantily clad models posing with sharks ;-} Stefan
Posted by chidiver on 2007-02-12 12:15:28 Reading a great book at the moment. John Chatterton and Richie Kohler feature prominently. It's written by Gary Gentile and is very interesting. Don't think that I could take too much for granted coming from those two presenters! IMHO. Bruce
